Case studies


Utility company

The project was to design and project manage a cross functional team development challenge for 120 people. We used a blend of indoor and outdoor tasks with the outcome of maximising the management development potential for all company employees. Outcomes showed results in organisational development, project management, team building and leadership and management development.


Software House

This six year assignment was to assist with staff and organisational development in a small company experiencing meteoric growth. The directors were keen to maintain their valued company culture throughout the growth period.

Grass Routes assisted throughout its metamorphosis taking the company from an initial staff of eight to 130, at its point of sale to News International.
Interventions included advice on organisational structure, staff development, team and team leader development and one-to-onecoaching of the general manger and senior management team.


Banking sector

The job was to work with a leading bank and a trade union with the task of re-skilling staff from clerical to IT positions. The task required a training system to be put in place, team building and leadership and management development.


Print Processing Company

The task was to analyse a perceived personnel problem between the shop floor and management and to vertically integrate teams resulting in increased management and team efficiency. Outcomes showed measurable improvements in team development, personal development and leadership.

Electronics and Communications

To design and implement a two year generic programme covering the personal development aspects of a management programme for graduate recruits to the electronics industry. Areas covered graduate development, and project management.


Emergency Aid Sector

Aimed at health and engineering professionals the task was to design and implement a training programme in: Personal Effectiveness in Disaster Relief Situations. We conducted an analysis of the perceived and actual needs of aid workers before during and after entering a disaster relief area.
The secondary aim was to produce a field handbook to be used by the whole unit. Areas covered in the course were team building, cross cultural working, stress management and communication.


Large Housing Trust

The assignment was to support the CEO and the Executive Management Team over a two year period to ensure the smooth transition of the organisation from the public to the private sector.


Major Business School

To design and deliver the front end experiential training elements of a four year training and development programme for the future leaders of a major UK bank.
