Creating a Vision
"Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality."
Warren Bennis
Our approach is to develop the competence of the delegates who attend our training programmes. This means that we focus on developing practical skills as well as the knowledge of the delegates. Practical skills can only be developed through practice – therefore our programmes are highly interactive and participative. Typically, programmes will involve participants carrying out exercises in small groups, using materials that are familiar to them (for example their own company’s forms, or case studies from their sector). We use role play and simulated scenarios in most of our training, with a debrief after each exercise. We also typically produce workbooks that provide participants with a resource that can be used after the training has finished. These workbooks may also contain exercises that the participants can complete to provide reflective learning.
This overall approach requires each participant to take part in exercises, reflect on the experience, draw conclusions from these reflections and make plans for future action. This process makes sure that all learning styles are catered for and that true learning takes place, leading to competence development.
